Where can I download your software?

All our iPhone products are available on App Store: just start iTunes on your desktop (then select iTunes Store then App Store), or directly start App Store application on your iPhone and search for Kickoo software.

My iPhone does not work reliably anymore, apps start then shut down immediately, what can I do?

Restarting your iPhone does help solving most problems:
- turn it off by pressing and holding the sleep button until the red slider appears then slide your finger across the slider.
- turn it on, by pressing and holding the sleep button until the Apple logo appears.

If you still have troubles, you should go to the iPhone troubleshooting assistant page, from Apple.

I have a problem with your software. What can I do?

If you need some help, please have a look at the FAQ (the one you are reading! :), as it contain the most common problems you may have.

If you don't find what you are looking for in the FAQ, just go to the forums: chances are that your problem has been already described by others (feel free to enter a new topic in the support section if your problem is not listed).

Most of the questions/problems you may have should be solved by just reading the FAQ/forums, as we are continuously updating the FAQ page and participating very actively to the forums.

TopSecret:


The program tell me an email has been sent, but I didn't received it yet!

Check that you didn't made any mistake when you entered the email address: if you made a typo, just start the TopSecret program again and you'll be able to change it.
Until you validate that email address by clicking on a link it contains, you'll be able to change it by just starting the program again.
Once the email address has been validated, you'll be able to change it using our web interface by going to the Settings page which URL is contained on each email you will receive (which is why you should always keep at least one of those emails).

It is also possible that your email program considered the message to be spam: check your spam/junk folder!

To avoid this kind of troubles, it is recommended to add to your address book (or authorized address list) the email addresses noreply@kickoo.com and iphonesupport@kickoo.com


I entered a phone number, but nothing happen!

You may have used a special character which prevented the dialing to work properly.
Don't use '#', '*' nor even space characters in the phone number!


I received several emails, with location coordinates sometimes very different, why?

That's normal: each time the system provide location coordinates to the program, an email is sent while the program still try to improve location accuracy.
It would not be wise for TopSecret application to wait for the best possible result before sending an email, as the thief can exit the program at any time!

Usually, the last email received contain location with the best accuracy.
Sometimes, the first location coordinate is several days old: that's because the system keep in memory the last location request you made (for exemple in Maps application) and provide them first to the running program, which is why TopSecret application does provide location date as well as accuracy, so you know how relevant the location coordinates are.


The location coordinates sent by email are sometimes not very accurate, why?

Location accuracy may vary depending on Wifi, Edge/3G and GPS coverage: even with an iPhone 3G (which have a GPS chipset), the provided location may not be accurate, depending on weather conditions, wether the device is inside or outside and so on, which is why the emails sent also include IP address information, both local and remote ones (including reverse DNS lookup, and whois information, when available).
Location inaccuracy that may occur from time to time is not a bug in the program, but the consequence of using a GPS device in a way it was not designed for (indoor, bad satellite signal etc).


This program is great, but it would be even better if it didn't required the thief to launch it...

Yes, we know...
When (if?) it will be possible to run iPhone applications in the background, or trigger them using push notifications, TopSecret application will be updated and you'll be able to activate/start it remotely from any web browser!
